OpenF1 RC Model - 2021

To experiment with just how clean a finish I could extract out of 3D printed parts, I downloaded the OpenRC F1 model produced by Daniel Noree and got to printing. Iterating on test parts with different combinations of sanding, priming, masking and painting, I finally landed on an efficient formula which I applied to the rest of the car: 200 grit sanding, priming, 800 grit wet sanding, spray paint and mask as needed. I couldn’t be prouder of the result!
